The safety concept of the St. Leonhard daycare centre

The safety concept of our kindergarten

Our main priority is the safety of the children. We appreciate our small yet secure outdoor area. Small children are never unsupervised, whether they are in the building or in the garden. From kindergarten age, children do have the opportunity to play in the garden for short periods without adult supervision.

We provide our service to three of the kindergartens in the surrounding area. Children in this age group find it hard to assess distances and risks. That’s why the children are always taken to the kindergarten and picked up again.

We take schoolchildren to school in the first two weeks. As soon as they feel safe they will walk with the other children from our kindergarten, without adults. We consider 30 to 45 minutes to be enough time before we start looking for a child.

En-route safety: Interns who have been with us for a while are allowed to leave the building with two children. Trainees can leave the building with three or four children, depending on their age.

There are certain rules that MUST be complied with on the road and in traffic.

For safety reasons, we do not visit public swimming pools in the summer, unless we are able to provide one-on-one supervision.

We always have emergency medical supplies with us on excursions. We are able to react appropriately in the event of an accident. If necessary, we contact the emergency services immediately. The parents are also notified straight away.
